2022 Oklahoma FCA Hall of Champions
Bill & Nancy Allen
Bill and Nancy Allen were married for 57 years. They raised 4 incredible children while serving as surrogate parents for generations of athletes, students and displaced teen-agers. Bill served in the Navy during World War II. Bill coached at Tulsa Webster High School for 34 years. His coaching record was 362 wins and 195 losses. As much of an impact that Bill had on all the athletes, it will never compare with the impact that Bill and Nancy made through the lives of coaches and athletes in FCA. The Allen family took athletes to many different FCA camps throughout his coaching career. The Allen’s also led FCA at Webster High School for many years.
Mike & Louise Borden
Mike & Louise Borden have been faithful supporters of FCA for many years. Mike attended his first FCA event in 1959 in Tulsa. From that event through today, Mike and Louise understand the importance of the influence of Christ through the ministry of FCA. The Borden’s have been faithful as active supporters and volunteers through the invitation of Chuck Bowman in the 70’s. In the 90’s the Borden’s began supporting FCA staffer Todd Thomsen through is excellent service and work as a staff person. FCA is thankful for the impact the Borden’s have made through the ministry of FCA throughout the state of Oklahoma.
Terry & Ann Brown
Terry and his wife Ann have been actively involved with the ministry of FCA since Chuck Bowman took over the FCA leadership in Oklahoma in 1973. Terry was an All-American at Oklahoma State University and was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 3rd round in 1969. Terry played 9 years in the NFL. He played in two Super Bowls for the Minnesota Viking’s scoring a touchdown off a blocked punt in Super Bowl IX. As a professional athlete Terry shared his faith on many different platforms but was consider by Chuck Bowman as one of the trailblazers for Oklahoma FCA in the early days. His message impacted lives for Christ throughout the state of Oklahoma. Terry and Ann raise their three children Kristen, Suzanne and Greg in Marlow where Terry and Ann live today.
John & Rhonda Roush
John was a Consensus All-American guard and Academic All-American in 1974 in football at the University of Oklahoma. During John’s playing days at OU, he was the campus leader for FCA along with Steve Davis, Billy Severns and many other stand-out athletes. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma John became the first field staff hired by FCA State Director Chuck Bowman. John went throughout Oklahoma sharing his faith and helping Chuck establish FCA groups across Oklahoma. His personality and enthusiasm impacted thousands of lives at FCA Game Day Events, FCA Rallies, Team Chapels, FCA College Retreats and FCA huddle meetings. His influence was powerful and energetic! John and his wife Rhonda live in Tulsa where John is a successful real estate agent.
Sherri Coale
Sherri Coale is recognized throughout our country as one of the greatest Division I coaches to have ever coached at the collegiate level. In Oklahoma she is recognized and respected as a wife, mom, GG (Grandmother), author and coach. Sherri was a very successful head coach at Norman High School as well as the University of Oklahoma. State Championships were earned at Norman and three final four appearances were accomplished at the University of Oklahoma. Her number of championships on both levels, All-State Athletes and All-American Athletes, will never compare to the impact that she had on the athletes she coached throughout her career. Sherri is recognized as a life changer through her love, toughness and discipline by her athletes and students she led. Sherri led FCA at Norman High School and was a consistent speaker for OU’s FCA and FCA throughout the country. Sherri and her husband Dane live in Norman with their children and grandchild close by.
Brad & Linda Livingstone
Brad & Linda have been faithful to the ministry of FCA from their high school days at Okmulgee and Perkins, through their college days at OSU, and now as the leaders of Baylor University. Brad and Linda played basketball for the Cowboys and Cowgirls for Oklahoma State University. Both have affected many lives for Christ through their faithfulness. Their faithfulness in Christ has given them the opportunity to share their faith with students, athletes and staff on many campuses such as Baylor, Pepperdine University and George Washington University where they lived and worked. Brad worked for Oklahoma FCA in Woodward, Enid and Stillwater serving Northwest Oklahoma and the OSU athletes for 6 years. Currently, Linda is the president of Baylor and Brad is the recognized as the first gentleman of Baylor. Their daughter Shelby plays volleyball at Rice University.
