Coach: Wrestling

Favorite Bible Verse: Job 1:12

"My parents began taking me to church at a very young age but it was not until high school that my relationship with God truly became a real walk of faith. Long story short; I was a high school wrestler that wanted to win everything and for the most part I was winning everything but there was a certain individual that I could need beat. After months (years) of trying to beat this person I finally realized I was missing something, a relationship with God. So I began to pray; I prayed everyday multiple times of day. I prayed so much that my prayers didn’t seem like praying anymore they just seemed like an ongoing conversation with God. He really helped me fine what I was missing. I ended up beating this guy, that I have never beaten, 3 times my senior year. I truly believe it was because God was there guiding me in the direction I was needing to go."

FCA Role: Joe Sindelar reached out to me in 2019 and I began to implement FCA daily devotions to my student athletes. In 2019 I felt the need to do more with the student body in Perry, OK and I helped organize/facilitate a weekly bible study club within the district which still continues today. Starting this school year the FCA organization (I sponsor) has begun with more student/community outreach by having after school gatherings to help draw more people to God.
